Mr. G. T. Comstock, who has been quite sick is improving.

Mr. J. O. Selleck is improving under the care of a faith cure physician of Chicago.

A. L. Waller has rented C. A. Alberding’s house and expects to occupy it about April 1st.

We need subscribers, but we need money even worse. that is necessary to buy paper and ink.

Mr. and Mrs. C. Lines and Mrs. St. Clair called on Mr. and Mrs. Pedley last Sunday afternoon.

Mrs. J. K. Bennett expects to take charge of a Club House at Fox Lake during the coming summer.

Mrs. L. Colburn is remodeling her store, and it is reported that Mr. C. Vermilya has rented the entire building for a hotel.

Mr. Mills, of Woodstock, sold several robes at auction here Tuesday. Why not buy such articles of a dealer in your own town.

Mr. C. A. Alberding wishes to say that the item which appeared last week stating that he was going to Clerk at Elgin is incorrect.

Charlie Frisbee, who has been night operator here for some time, has been promoted and is now assisting the agent at Palatine.

Please pay your subscription on this paper promptly. All those who have not paid up before Feb. 1st, 1881, will be struck from the list.

Mrs. Aug. Boehm died from the effects of an operation performed on her at the German hospital, Chicago, Jan. 16th; age 47 years, 10 months. The remains were brought to Barrington for interment.
